A young person you know could be experiencing a mental health or substance abuse problem. Learn an action plan to help. You are more likely to encounter someone in an emotional or mental health crisis than someone having a heart attack. Learn how to help a friend, family member, coworker or neighbor in need.
Anyone 18 or older can take Youth Mental Health First Aid, but it is recommended for those who regularly have contact with young people ages 12 to 18 such as coaches, social workers, faith leaders and other caring citizens.
