Dr. Clayton Turner has been caring for Casper and Wyoming patients for almost two decades. He is an orthopedic and spine surgeon with a fellowship in spine surgery from Baylor College of Medicine in Texas. He practices at Advantage Orthopedics and Neurosurgery.
Dr. Turner earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas. He continued his education at Baylor, completing an internship in general surgery, his residency in orthopedic surgery and a fellowship in spine surgery.
He served four years in the U.S. Navy, initially stationed at the Oakland Naval Hospital. When the hospital closed, he was transferred to the Madigan Army Medical Center in Washington where he cared for military personnel, veterans and their families, and federal employees.
In 1998, he came to Casper to join Casper Orthopaedic Associates, where he practiced for 17 years. He moved to Advantage in 2016 so he could more closely align with Wyoming Medical Center, Casper’s only full-service community hospital.
“I have been caring for Casper and Wyoming patients since 1998, and my commitment to this community and this state has only grown stronger,” he said.
He will work closely with Advantage neurosurgeon Dr. Lee Warren to build a comprehensive spine program at Wyoming Medical Center. This will not only benefit Casper patients, but patients from across the state.
“Wyoming Medical Center has the widest network of medical specialists in the state, and I am looking forward to joining this team of compassionate caregivers,” Dr. Turner said.
