From the CEO: A warm welcome and a solar-sized opportunity
By Michele Chulick Aug 16, 2017
It’s been a little over a month since I came to Wyoming Medical Center, and I have been overwhelmed by how welcoming everyone has been.
And not just in the hospital. Nearly everywhere I go – hiking on the Bridle Trail, biking along the Platte River Trails, wandering around the downtown art walk – someone stops and wishes me well. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to say “hello” along the way.
This weekend, Wyoming Medical Center will be called upon to go above and beyond in our commitment to patient care. The total solar eclipse is expected to attract thousands of visitors to Casper, and that could mean an influx of patients to our clinics and emergency room. I have no doubt we will be ready. The administrative team and I are thankful for the staff’s dedication, time and devotion to patients and this community during this incredible event.
What an exciting time to be in Casper! Not only does the eclipse give us the chance to show off our years of preparation, but it gives the entire community a chance to demonstrate what can happen when agencies pull together for a common cause. Thank you to the City of Casper, the Natrona County Commissioners, and numerous other agencies and businesses for the teamwork in making this a world-class event.
I am passionate about the patient and family experience, and I have witnessed incredible, compassionate and high-quality care being delivered at Wyoming Medical Center. We will continue to create an environment and culture that delivers an exceptional experience for everyone we serve.
Again, thank you for making me feel like a member of this community. If we pass on the trails, please stop to introduce yourself. Patients and families are the center of all we do at Wyoming Medical Center, and we are honored to serve you.
