Uncontrolled bleeding is the number one cause of preventable death in trauma. Stop the Bleed is a national campaign and call to action to teach everyday people the basics in applying first-aid methods to control blood loss until help arrives. May 21 is National Stop the Bleed Day, and Wyoming Medical Center's Trauma Services instructors will teach the basics of tourniquet use and wound packing.
This class will be at Wyoming Medical Center, on the second floor of the Support Services Building. Class is free, but space is limited.
