Brent Clyde, M.D., is a board-certified neurosurgeon at Wyoming Neurosurgery and Spine. He has more than 25 years of neurosurgical experience.

Dr. Clyde grew up in Southern California and discovered his interest in medicine while accompanying his mother, an X-ray tech, to work. He started working in her department in high school and enjoyed watching the physicians read film, work through patient diagnoses and solve problems. After a year of college at UCLA, he switched to pre-med.

Dr. Clyde earned his doctorate of medicine from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, N.C. He completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh, UPMC Department of Neurological Surgery. He served as a locums tenens neurosurgeon at Wyoming Medical Center for many years, coming to Casper 10 days a month to help cover call and treat patients. He is now here full time.

"I wanted to finish the last 10 to 15 years of my career in one place," he said. "I love Wyoming, and I like the people of Wyoming Medical Center. The strength of the hospital is the people."
