J.F. Turner, MD, FACP, FCCP, FCCM, ATSF, brings nearly 40 years experience to Casper, specializes in the early detection and treatment of lung cancer. He is accepting patients at Casper Pulmonary.
Dr. Turner is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and critical care. He completed a fellowship in interventional pulmonology with Dr. Ko-Pen Wang, the inventor of transbronchial needle aspiration through the flexible bronchoscope. He most recently served as Vice Chair of Medicine and Co-Director of Thoracic Oncology at the University of Tennesee.
He was the Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System. A veteran, he served as Director of Interventional Pulmonology at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., as well as the University of Nevada School of Medicine, VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, and the Nevada Cancer Institute.
Dr. Turner is also a frequent speaker on interventional pulmonary and critical care issues.
