Payment Plans

We offer a number of flexible payment options. Payment plans must be arranged through a qualified financial counselor. Counselors are available to assist you with your financial questions or concerns from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Financial Assistance Program

Our Financial Assistance Program is available to assist with the financial needs of those who have limited ability to pay for emergent and medically necessary services.

There are certain criteria and details you should be aware of pertaining to our Financial Assistance Policy. Explore them further below:

A financial counselor may offer financial assistance to patients who can’t comply with any of our payment options due to financial distress. This is offered as a last resort. The counselor will obtain up-front information justifying that this is the program best suited for the patient in resolving hospital accounts.

Application Process

  1. A patient is given a financial assistance policy and application from a financial counselor.
  2. A credit report on the applicant may be obtained.
  3. The patient will be given a 21-day time limit to ensure the information is returned in a timely manner.
  4. The applicant must thoroughly complete the application and provide any and all information from the checklist that pertains to his/her situation.
  5. The applicant will be expected to exhaust all other payment sources as a condition for approval. For example, you may be eligible for Medicaid or Medicare. Therefore, you will be required to apply for those programs before seeking charity care.

Note: This application is used for Wyoming Medical Center and Wyoming Health Medical Group. Separate providers are under no obligation to honor or accept the outcome of this application.

Declined Applications
Applications for financial assistance may be declined if:

  1. The application is not returned in 21 days, is incomplete or contains false information.
  2. WMC determines that a false application was submitted.
  3. Pertinent information was withheld after a determination had been made and a write-off completed.

Accepted Applications
Because your financial situation may change, you will have to re-apply each time you wish to receive financial assistance. It’s also important to note that even if you are accepted to receive financial assistance, your bill will not be completely forgiven. Financial assistance evaluates your ability to pay with which you will share the responsibility.

Request an Estimate

When you are scheduled for a test or procedure at WMC, you may request an estimate of the expected cost and your portion of the responsibility. Estimates are based on information provided by you (the patient or caregiver) and do not include additional tests/procedures/services ordered by your physician after the initial estimate or other unforeseen complications, or physician charges which are billed directly by your physician. Our financial counselors can be reached during regular business hours at (307) 577-2650 or in person on our campus. The financial counselor will ask you to provide the following information in order to provide the most accurate estimate of what you may pay for services:

  1. Name of insurance company
  2. Policy holder / member name
  3. Policy number
  4. Group name and number
  5. Insurance company phone number
  6. Test procedure or CPT code

Price Transparency

Disclaimer: In compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), this charge master machine readable file and shoppable services have been provided below. Standard charges are the same for all patients; however, a patient’s financial responsibility may vary. For example, government insurance plans such as Medicare and Medicaid do not pay the charge master rates, instead have their own set rates which enrolled hospitals are obligated to accept. Likewise, individual health insurance plan payments are based on contractual agreements and may or may not reflect the standard charges. As a result, patient deductible, copayment and coinsurance vary depending on specific health plan coverage. Additionally, patients with no health plan coverage or limited ability to pay for emergent and medically necessary services may qualify for our financial assistance program. In addition to the itemized charges in the charge master, our hospital also provides a reference of average charges by Diagnosis Related Group (DRG). Diagnosis Related Groups are the method Medicare uses to pay for inpatient care to hospitals. This is historic average charge data and is based on Medicare insurance claims, and posted as stipulated by Medicare guidelines.
