Safe Kids bike rodeo teaches bicycle safety to students at St. Anthony Tri-Parish Catholic School

Bike rodeo yada yada yada

After the helmet fittings, lessons and obstacle courses, students got a chance to ride their bikes around the St. Anthony's lot just for fun. Nearly 100 young students learned important bike safety lessons at the rodeo.

On Monday, June 2, Safe Kids of Central Wyoming hosted a bike rodeo at St. Anthony’s Tri-Parish Catholic School. Nearly 100 students from pre-school through second grade learned basic bike handling skills, bike maintenance, and hand signals for turning and stopping.  All students had their helmets checked and adjusted for proper fit. Students without helmets received one from the program.  Bates Creek Mobile Bicycle Repair was also on hand to fix minor mechanical issues such as flat tires and broken chains.

A special thanks to St. Anthony’s School for inviting us to do this fun event and to the students and parents whose generosity will allow us to provide more helmets to kids in need this summer.
