Throwback Thursday: First twins, 1986 and 1987

Where are they now?
Here's a double throwback to 1986 and 1987, back when the first set of twins of the year was an event for the local newspaper.
On Jan. 13, 1986, the year's first twins honors went to Linda and Terry Perales. Brothers Shane Ray and Shawn Allen were born about seven weeks premature and weighed about 4 1/2 pounds each, according to the Casper Star-Tribune.
In 1987, the first twins came on Jan. 20 to parents Carlette Kay and Kendall Bassett. Breanne Renee was born at 7:10 a.m. with Brandon Merl coming two minutes later.
Of course, we think every birth at Wyoming Medical Center is front-page news! Wishing all our parents – past, present and future – a happy and healthy 2020.
Throwback Thursday is a series celebrating Wyoming Medical Center’s long and rich history in Natrona County. Special thanks to the Casper College Western History Center which archives the vast Wyoming Medical Center collection of newspaper articles, photographs and other memorabilia.
