Throwback Thursday: Time lapse of McMurry West Tower rising, 2014
By Kristy Bleizeffer Nov 5, 2020
This Thursday, we're throwing back to November 2014, when the McMurry West Tower opened to its first patients.
The new tower gave Wyoming Medical Center 100,000 square feet of new space for patient rooms, an interfaith chapel, public areas, an expanded cafeteria, a combined mother and baby floor, and an official front door.
Watch the time-lapse video below to see the tower going up beam by beam over the course of more than a year. It's a fun journey, even if just to see the changes in Casper weather!
Throwback Thursday looks back on Wyoming Medical Center’s long, rich history in Natrona County. Special thanks to the Casper College Western History Center, which archives our vast collection of newspaper articles, photographs and other memorabilia; and to "Wyoming Medical Center: A Centennial History," by Rebecca A.
