When you require surgery, you have Wyoming’s most comprehensive medical system at your service. You will recover in our Jerry Behrens M.D. Orthopedic, Spine and General Surgery Center on the fourth floor of the McMurry West Tower. The center features 25 private patient rooms, three bariatric patient rooms, an orthopedic rehabilitation gym and therapeutic tub training area. This comprehensive surgical floor is designed to centralize treatments and shorten recovery times.

• O-arm® Intra-operative Imaging System: Wyoming Medical Center is also the state’s first hospital to offer the Medtronic StealthStation® Surgical Navigation coupled with the O-arm® Intra-operative Imaging System. The technology allows surgeons to target brain tumors as small as 3 millimeters with the precision of a stealth bomber. Spine surgeons use it to plan and perform complicated surgeries, and the ability to create images in real-time allows for precise 3D placement of screws, minimizing risks of injury and possible re-operation.

Other Surgical Options

• Thoracic surgery involves procedures in or near the chest, lungs and diaphragm.

• Vascular surgery for conditions affecting the arteries, blood vessels and veins such as carotid stenosis, abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral artery disease, intermittent claudication and deep vein thrombosis.

Location & Parking

Our Operating Room is located on the third floor of Center Tower, accessible from the Center Elevators. After treatment, most patients will be moved to the surgical floor on the fourth floor of the West Tower. Parking is available at the West Tower main entrance. Use the valet parking from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday or the west parking garage.
