TACE: Delivering a 'one-two punch' to liver tumors
Transarterial Chemoembolization of the liver, also known as TACE, is a localized therapy that cuts off the tumor’s blood supply while administering targeted chemotherapy. The majority of the normal liver receives its blood supply from the portal vein, the drainage system of the bowel.
