Masterson Place is our hospitality house for patients and their families. It started through the vision and generous support of Mary Masterson and her family, when Mary realized the challenges and costs out-of-town patients and their families faced while receiving care in Casper. She brought awareness to these challenges and gave a leadership gift to the Foundation which was used to purchase the original facility in 2001.
When age and a deteriorating infrastructure caught up with this 60-year-old building, Wyoming Medical Center provided the Foundation with property to build a new facility directly behind the hospital at 310 S. Washington St. Supporters contributed more than $4.8 million towards construction of the new 14-room Masterson Place.
Masterson Place is an affordable place to stay while in Casper for medical treatment. It serves thousands of patients and families every year with both short- and long-term accommodations.
Often referred to as “a home away from home,” each room has a refrigerator and microwave along with phones connected to the hospital system. The lobby has a two-sided fireplace and a Community Room with a refrigerator, oven and room for the Angels Cancer Care Program to host monthly dinners for the guests.
