Since 1953, hospital volunteers have served Wyoming Medical Center patients, families and staff. They are often the first people visitors see when entering the hospital.

Volunteers can choose from more than 20 service areas including escorting patients and families throughout the hospital, working in the Cottage Gift Shop, manning information desks, delivering flowers, assisting the chaplains and more. They are often the liaison between the family and the physician while a loved one is in surgery.

Our volunteer program is unique. Not only do our volunteers donate their time, but proceeds from the volunteer-run gift shop and other yearly fundraisers benefit both hospital staff and patients. Volunteers fund the WMC Wish List which provides medical equipment and supplies to specific departments and floor. Volunteers also support the hospital’s scholarship program and Benevolent Fund.

Wherever they work, WMC volunteers provide a welcoming smile and caring attitude for all who pass through our doors.
