By Justin Kaping May 12, 2016
I am proud to announce that the Wyoming Hyperbaric and Wound Treatment Center was awarded the 2015 Center of Distinction Award by Healogics, Inc., the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services.
This national award is given to wound care centers maintaining high clinical outcomes for the calendar year. Criteria is maintaining patient satisfaction at a level higher than 92 percent, a minimum wound healing rate of at least 91 percent within 30 median days to heal, and other quality outcomes.
In 2015, the Wyoming Hyperbaric and Wound Treatment Center achieved outstanding numbers:
- 98 percent patient satisfaction
- 96 percent healing rate
- 21 median days to heal
- 197 wounds healed
Wyoming Hyperbaric and Wound Treatment Center is a member of the Healogics Network of more than 635 centers across the country. We offer highly specialized, physician-led outpatient wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time. Our advanced treatments include hyperbaric oxygen therapy, negative pressure wound therapy, bio-engineered skin substitutes, biological and biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies.
Achieving the Center of Distinction in the first year of operation is a rare and significant occurrence, and I believe it proves our commitment to patients. We now have an unique opportunity to work towards a Center of Excellence award in 2016, our first year of eligibility.
